There are many women who are the breadwinners in their family, and a large percentage of those women are single mothers.  In their case, it is highly advisable that they get a life insurance to take care of their children just in case something untoward happens to them. Of course, there is the problem of how far would the “roving house” go with its gasoline? That would be part of the challenge. To go as far you can, and hopefully you can make it to the next gasoline station to refill. Just thinking of the adventure already makes me feel excited. I wish I could do it in this lifetime.

In the continuing fight against the spread of HIV and sexually transmitted diseases, the government have given free condoms to men.

Now, it’s the ladies turn, as the Washington D.C.  distributed female condoms. It was the first city in the United States to distribute free female condom and they will have them available in beauty salons, convenience stores and high schools in parts of the city with high HIV rates.

This is the city’s shift in empowering the women to have the choice in protecting themselves from HIV and STDs when their partners refuse to use protection.

Being in the front of the computer most of the times, it is inevitable that our eyes would suffer sooner of later because of being exposed to too much glare from the PC monitor. There will be a time that eye glasses would soon be required by the user when the eyes are not well taken care of.

To be able to avoid this, you should not abuse your eyes. If you have been sitting in front of the computer for quite some time, stand up and rest your eyes. Go out of the house and look at a lot greens — the grasses, plants and trees. You could also try appreciating the beauty of the clouds in the sky which you haven’t really noticed for quite a while.

The computer is not really the cause of eye abuse, there’s the television too. Do not be too close to the TV when you are watching your favorite telenovela.  You can still appreciate it, even if you’re not too near the set.

Needless, reading can also cause strain on the muscles of the eyes. Just like PC monitors and TV, rest your eyes from time to time. Just like any muscles in our body, our eyes can only take so much. So take care of them, so they can take care of you too.

From the car accident he had some weeks ago, the news on Woods now plays on his liking to prostitutes and spending money on them – BIG MONEY!

Woods was said to have “spent $65,000 on prostitutes.” Well, he can afford it.

And Michelle Braun, a Hollywood madam has spilled the juice on Woods “pretty big appetite for women.”

She said, “One of his favorites was Loredana Jolie,” and described her as a gorgeous blond who is a Playboy model from Sicily who’s been living in New York City since age 14.

Braun also said that Woods was rarely with just one girl, and he liked three-ways. “He would request the college-cutie, girls-next-door look,” she said.

She also said the girls marveled at Wood endurance. “He could go for days,” she said. The girls also said he was a “real gentleman” and a good lover. Aside from showering them with gifts, “he was very polite and was amazing in bed… very sensual and well-endowed,” Braun added.

an aging actor oh so furious

I’ve read about the gang rape that happened in California in tweets and some facebook status, yet it’s only now that I’ve read about its details from CNN.

A 15-year old high school student was gang raped right inside school grounds during the school’s annual homecoming.

Several points were raised:
- the assault took more than two hours
- there were many witnesses and nobody even cared to call the police
- people who heard about the assault went ‘only to watch’
- it happened inside school grounds where there were supposed to be surveillance cameras

Police are continuing with the investigations on the matter. The girl was said to be in stable condition right now.

I feel for the parents of the girl.

We should really be wary of our children’s friends, even those we think we know.

Because she was watching her daughter play with dolls that doesn’t look like her, Stacy McBride-Irby, an African-American, designed the Black Barbie so her daughter can play with dolls that look like her.

The new Black Barbie gets mixed reviews. It earned McBride-Irby some criticisms, but she also recieved my kudos.

Named Grace, Kara and Trichelle, the black Barbies have fuller lips, curlier hair and other features that the company says more accurately represent African-American women.

Some of the criticisms received was that the dolls were not black enough. Others also raised objections to the straight hairs, saying that most of their hair is “not straight and light brown.”

And she explained herself via rap seen in her YouTube video.

“Yeah the rumours are true, I deleted my Twitter,” she raps in the video, in front of several teenage girls dancing in unison. “Can you believe it?”

She said she wants to keep her private life private and she’s done trying to please.. oh well, here’s the rap song from YouTube

In one of her last Twitter posts, Cyrus said her current boyfriend, actor Liam Hemsworth, did not have a Twitter account “and wants me to delete mine with good reason.”

In the rap though she said, “It wasn’t because my friend told me to. I stopped living for moments and started living for people.” Nice save.
